It is a project designed based on observation of interior design problems in local houses. The current layout of Saudi houses has many issues, including indoor air circulation, daylight, and heat. Most Saudi houses have a closed plan and small windows because of the heat and privacy. So Noor project, which means light in Arabic, suggests an interior design where the main focus is on an indoor open-plan layout that provides proper daylight for all rooms, as well as privacy where it is more efficient to take advantage of more than one level and courtyards.
This project’s minimalistic style introduces a new direction in Saudi interior design, challenging the dominance of classic and new classic styles. It emphasizes spatial clarity, functionality, and material honesty while being cost-effective and sustainable. By reducing material waste and enhancing adaptability, this approach creates refined, contemporary spaces that balance tradition with modernity, offering a fresh and forward-thinking perspective on interior design.
